Does anyone know/remember anything about the Agent Orange/Dioxin in Jacksonville, AR in the late 80s early 90s

Hello,
I was wonering if anyone knew anything about the Agent Orange/Dioxin that was burnt in Jacksonville, AR. Supposidly it spread into the ground water supple, and all the lakes and rivers.

The reason I ask is, I come from a military family. My whole family is a very healthy family, but myself, my father and my mother all have cancer and abnormality's.

My father has terminal lung cancer, which has just spread to the rest of his body, and he has approx ~2 months to live. My mother has had breast cancer. I, myself have very bad asthma, Glaucoma (I'm 25 years old), a non-working thyroid, etc.

If anyone has any information please I beg youto post here. I have searched and searched and have actually done almost everything I can think of with the exception of driving to Jacksonville, AR and trying to find the newspaper articles on microfiche.

Thank you in advance.

I should also note, nobody else in my family, on either side, have ever had any serious diseases other than baldness.I come from a VERY healthy family. Great grandmother just died a few years back and she was 99, with no medical problems other than being old

ok, why jacksonville..was your dad in vietnam during the 60's and 70's..you say he is military..or if he is too young, was his dad in vietnam. i truthfully dont know about jacksonville, but do know, my husband was in Vietnam and was exposed to agent orange, he developed cancer and we were told that our children could also be afflicted as well as their children..agent orange is a insect repellant they sprayed the jungles with and the makers knew it was toxic..i had heard they used it in the usa also, and spraying around the coast of usa could be a possibility..have you googled ''agent orange jacksonville'' to see what comes up? it is highly likely your dad's cancer is from agent orange, but proving it is another..you will have to get a doctor to say that is the only way he could have contracted it..(we did) it was a long hard battle for us, but we finally (after he died) got compensated..good luck

Just type in Dioxin/ Arkansas there it a whole web site on the superfund burn
