How do i improve my posture?

i am the 9697th person to ask this! here are a few factors to take in while answering: 1. i'm african american, 2. i'm a woman, 3. i haven't any kids, 4. i haven't any limbs, 5. number 4 is a lie.

i'm just a black woman wanting to sit up straight!

Sit up straight, for crying out loud, and stop making up stuff that is wierd, or you will remain curled up and twisted for the rest of your days.

take ballet class

yeah take ballet and work out but not like get buff ,,,,,do stretching jogging sprinting and other cardio exercises

Go about a regular day and count then number of times you catch yourself slouching. If you are above 18 helping your posture is going to be hard, but possible. Just straighten your shoulders, kept them down, and sit back. Imagine a string from the ceiling pulling you up. You'll do fine. If it doesn't improve try lots of sports.

wearing heels improves your posture...

take vitamins that contain calcium . the recommended dosage for your age, sit up straight and stand straight, don't slouch and stretch your body once in a while to stretch your muscles. when standing don't lean against anything try to stand up straight. in stead of carrying a heavy purse over loaded . use a smaller one that way you wont have extra weight on your shoulders and back.

Several times a day squeeze your shoulder blades together and hold them for 5 seconds each time you squeeze. Also ... stand in a corner, place from your hands to your elbows on the wall... then lean in as if you were doing a push up. Only go as far as you feel comfortable. Eventually you'll be able to do it with ease. This exercise helps stretch the muscles across your chest. You know... the ones that seem to be tight and bog your shoulders down. :) Another good exercise to do is lie on the edge of your bed or couch with one arm hanging off. Take that arm and while bending your elbow, bring it up and back. Do that about 20 times and then switch. (you'll have to get up and move to the opposite side of the bed :) ) Oh! One more that I thought of.... Lie on your stomach with your arms above your head. Lift both arms at the same time and hold for 3 seconds. It's much harder than you think but it will do wonders for your posture. And always... a quick fix is to tuck in your stomach. But, as we all know that doesn't last very long. :) Good luck to you and God bless!

sit up straight
