I really want to adopt?

iam 19 and i was wondering if there was any place or state that would allow me to adopt at my age without being married but iam engaged and getting married please someone help me...or if anyone wants to give there baby up for adoption let me know and maybe i can adopt her i really want to be a mother

well i stay at home but my fiance has a great job makeing 60ks a year and we live in a nice apartment...........and yes iam very mature

im not sure if theyll let you adopt until your married at that age. maybe you could wait till you acually get married

You apply at your states adoption agency. However, the birth mother gets to pick the adopting parents in most situations (unless you go through Fostercare). They'll be looking for financial stability, mental health, religious preference, your living environment, and your relationship. Single people can adopt. They want to make sure they move the kid into a stable environment. That might not be the case at 19. But, you never know. You may be very mature, already have a career, and can provide for a child.

1. if your 19 u should wait till u get married and is your "soon-to-be husband ok with the idea of adopting.

2. u kinda have to send in an application of some sort and you will need to have a home study done(which can only be done if your married)

3. it takes any were from 1-4 years to adopt just depending on what country u adopt from i know it takes 2 or 4 years in China because there r milllions of people wanting to adopt.
