Relief from pain caused by adhesion's?

I HAVE SUFFERED FOR 10 YEARS WITH ADHESIONS, AFTER GOING AN HYSTERECTOMY.
THE PAIN I GET IS 24/7 IS THERE ANYONE CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE OR HELP TO REIELF THE PAIN

Well, having had extensive experience with adhesions I can only tell you there is not much you can do for them other than more surgery to alleviate the pain.
If you had hysterectomy because of endometrioisis, you could still have the disease in your pelvis even though you do not have a uterus. Endometriosis only needs a blood supply and hormones to flourish. It makes no difference whether or not you've had a hysterectomy. Hysterectomy is not a cure for endometrioisis.
Adhesions as a result of surgery is common and difficult to control. Perhaps you can get a referral to a pain clinic in your area. They can prescribe pain relief for you. This could consist of anti inflammory meds, narcotics, pain blocks, or more surgery.
Other than that, I wish you luck. Avoid lifting anything too heavy as this will put pressure on the pelvic floor and could cause the adhesions to pull. If you are not allergic to aleve or motrin, try taking that type of medication daily to see if it helps with the pain.
My advise to you is to go back to your gyn. and speak to him or her about a laparoscopy to clean up the adhesions. And, a referral to a pain clinic. Do not be afraid to take medications for pain control, that is what they are designed for.
Sorry you are suffering. I know the feeling.
Best of luck.

What does the doctor say? Have you had an ultrasound to confirm the problem? Adhesions are scar tissue on the surgical site. The only way to remove them is through more surgery.

I had a hysterectomy about 12 years ago with no problems. I was hiking around 10 days after the surgery.

It's time to see a specialist. Feel better soon.

i too had a hysterectomy, and i also have trouble with adhesions. some people have problems with adhesions and others don't. but you do need to see someone to get the pain under control. if your Dr. doesn't understand how much pain you are in and what you are going thru, i would suggest going to another doctor who understands what it's like to have this problem.
good luck!

There is a book that teaches about muscles, pain and referred pain anywhere in the body. The principle is that the muscles get knots called trigger points which make the muscles tight that then press on nerves. It teaches how to get them to release which gets rid of the pain.
The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I also use a chiropractor and massage therapist as needed.

75% success rate

I have adhesions in my knee from surgery, so I feel your pain and I wish I had some answers for you. I take narcotics for the pain unfortunately. More surgery seems to be the answer unfortunately. Good luck. I hope you find something to ease your pain.
