Anyone out there had a liver adenoma?

Anyone had a liver adenoma? Anyone gone through a surgery of getting a liver adenoma removed?
I'm kind of alone here and i'd love someone like me to talk to!

No, I haven't. But I pray that your surgery goes well, you heal quickly and have very little discomfort. I hope you have family with you? If you already know it is an adenoma, noncancerous, you are blessed. You are taking a proactive stance in your health, and removing it before it can be something worse.

If you have had it biopsied for sure and know that it is benign, you have a good prognosis. The surgery itself can be quite a challenge because of the highly vascular nature of the liver. During a wedge resection you must be very careful not to create any bleeding, or damage any important anatomical structures. The incision itself can be quite painful, due to it's location and all of the layers it passes through on it's way to the abdominal cavity.
If you have any other questions feel free to mail me personally.
