Breast Adenoma? |
I had a routine checking and they found a small lump and told me to do a biopsy. I am 34 yrs old and at the age of 29, they found a "spot" in my breast. Fortunately, I had a biopsy, because breast cancer runs in the family and I had previous problems before. At 29 I had to have a double mastectomy, and reconstructive surgery. 5 yrs later I feel great, look great and most important.......I'm alive and able to take care of my children. I don't know how old you are, it don't really matter. If the Dr. says have a biopsy, I think you should. Maybe get a second opinion first. Did you see a breast specialist or a family Dr.? i dont know, i think you should go for it, cause it it is breast cancer that would really not be good. a biopsy is when they just take a small portion of the lump and analyze it in a lab to figure out what exactly you have You doctor wants to be certain that the lump is truely a fibroadenoma, which is benign and that he is 100% certain on the diagnosis. |
