Can you die from a pituitary adenoma?

鈥?Pituitary Adenoma is usually a relatively fast growing tumour which gets limited due to three factors, namely: first being it outgrowing its blood supply that is so essential for continuation and progression of growth and in the absence of good blood supply, a Pituitary Adenoma therefore soon stops to grow further.

鈥?The second reason is related to its location as it starts giving rise to signs and symptoms relatively early in its course as compared to other adenomas at other places and of other organs.

鈥?The third reason why it cannot usually lead to death is that it is a benign tumour.

The tumor is benign, but the effects of hormones it may produce may be disastrous.
