Whats going on with my hormones?

Ok, Now I think i'm going CRAZy! I went to the GYNO because I haven't had a period since 06/05 when i started depo, even then i only had 3 jabs. Well the last shot i got was 7/06. I understand it takes a long time for it to wear off. Before i got on the depo my periods were like clockwork. Then about 4 months ago i started having severe abdominal pain they tested me for pregnancy and uti, stds and everything came back normal. Then I had an ultrasound, they found a SMALL fibriod, like an inch big. My GP put me on Birthcontrol pills they helped the pain. Then my period still didn't come to 2 weeks ago I went to see a GYNO she sent me in for some blood tests because my boobs were leaking milk, she said my uterus didn't feel preg. so she didn't issue a blood test for that but she did issue one for prolactin. My levels were very high and so Monday I had an MRI to check for an adenoma. That was neg. WEll, i spoke with her nurse today and she said I now have to go back and get my HCG checked!

Is it just me or should she have issued that test before she had issued anything else!!! especially that EXPENSIVE assed MRI that i'm going to be paying for forever! Now if the pregnancy test comes out negative, which i'm sure it will then she is going to refer me to an Endocrinologist. I'm upset, i wish they could just hurry up and find what is wrong and fix it!

yuk! I think I'd go crazy too!!! Hope your doctor discovers what's going on soon, like before you go bankrupt from all the tests....

I don't know what's wrong, but I agree with going to see an Endo. I had a girl I was working with that had the problem with a lot of the same things you're describing. She quit before she got it all figured out, but she was feeling better after seeing the Endo. God be with you.

You may have endometriosis the signs you are talking about support that and the dep shot may be causing the homonal inbalance that is causing lactation. she should have tested your HCG from the begining because if it is early in the pregnancy you cannot feel if you are pregnant by palpation or bi-manual exam

I am not a medical professional but I know that having fibroids can reek havok on your body. I wish I had an answer for you. Unfortunately, you will probally have to wait for your tests to be preformed. I hope that someone else has a better answer for you, someone with a like experience. Good luck and good health.
