Does anyone know when the pain from having your tonsills and adenoids out ease up just a little? |
I had my tonsils and adenoids out a week ago and the pain is still terrible. The dr said I had alot of scar tissue so I'm thinking it's going to be forever and I can't take it anymore. The pain in my ears and throat is insane!! Anyone know how long it should take to get better or what I can do besides the pain meds?? Younger children less than three years old will have pain for a week or less; older children and adults may have pain for as long as two or three weeks. Many will also note ear pain. This is due to common nerves that go to both the throat and the ears, thus tricking the brain into thinking there is ear pain when the pain is actually coming from the throat. You could try and eat ice cream that is know to ease tonsill pain. My advice is to try mint with chocolate chip ice cream because it stays down your throat and leaves a minty taste which cools them down each time you breath in. :) hope it helps You should eat hot milk+butter=it will warm your throught. IF THE PAIN IS STILL REALLY BAD AFTER ONE DAY, I WOULD GO BACK TO THE DOCTOR TO CHECK AND MAKE SURE THAT EVERY THING IS OK. JUST CHECK TO MAKE SURE. HAVE YOU TRIED EATING CRUSHED ICE? ALSO, ASK A PHARMACIST TO RECOMMEND MORE THINGS FOR YOU TO DO FOR THE PAIN. |
