My daughter who is 91/2 years old, breathes through mouth during sleep . I have consulted ENT Specialists and they advised surgery of adenoids and tonsils.Should I go for surgery of Adenoids and Tonsils both or Tonsils only? Take the advice of the doctor and have both removed. Your daughter will sleep better and feel better. do both man.adenoids is almost of n0 use to us .its act can be very well compensated. dont confuse urself and spoil u and ur daugter and doctor. i think you should get the surgery for both because the problem might still continue because of the faults in the adeniods. Get them both taken out. My kids were so dang sick all the time when they were little. I had there tonsils and adenoids removed and they didn't get half the crap they did before the surgery. They had less ear infections. If they did end up sick, it was not as serious or last as long. My 2 year old grand daughter is going to have hers out . Among other reasons for the surgery, the doctor told her mother that is not normal for a child to snore. That means their adenoids are very swollen. I would just have them both removed now. It's a very simple surgery and recovery is quick. have her get both her tonsils and adenoids out, i had severe sleep apnea i couldnt even swallow foods without water. I had the surgery when i was 17 and it becomes a more serious surgery as you age. So dont wait for it to get worse , do it as soon as possible so she doesnt have to suffer anymore. It was the best thing I ever did. |
