Can you get Strep Throat as a teenager, even if have gotten both you r tonsils and adenoids removed?

Ohk, my brother has strep throat, and he has just found out today. Right now, I feel like I have an itchy throat. Can I still get Strep Throat, even though I dont have my tonsils or adenoids?

Yes, but only if you are dehydrated. I got mine out a year ago, and i have had 1 case of strep. so suck on a Jolly Rancher and drink plenty of water.
