Will removing tonsils and adenoids at the same time help prevent ear chronic infections? |
Will removing tonsils and adenoids at the same time help prevent ear chronic infections? It should because an infection of the throat which is the most common, tends to spread out to an overall sinus infection also infecting the nasal cavaties and the ears. If your sicknesses usually begin with a sore throat and blowup to a full sinus infection (mine used to) getting the problematic tonsils/adenoids out should alleviate the situation. I had mine removed as a child, and it worked for me, never had an ear infection after that was done. Yes my son had his took out at the same time for the that very reason, and since then he has been great. |
