I just had my tonsils/adenoids removed, should the liquid I drink be coming up my mouth and down out my nose?

I had my tonsils and adenoids removed years ago but the liquid never came up my mouth and nose when I drank. Are you sitting up when you drink? If not sit up more and drink slowly, take small sips, if you find you are not doing better by tomorrow at noon please call you doctor and see what he says.
Best of luck! I know the pain your in!

no just do not drink it all drink sips

This is a common side effect of having your adenoids removed. You may need thickened liquids for a while. Try swallowing by dropping you head forward as if you are trying to look at your chest. Swallow small amounts and have patience. This symptom generally improves. A speech/language pathologist (yes. a speech language pathologist assesses swallowing) could aslo do a swallowing test for you and give recommendations.
