3 yo son scheduled to have his tonsils and adenoids taken out. list of foods i should buy for his recovery?? popsicles. his throat will be raw and scratchy. luke warm soup for regular food. Basically, try and give him soft foods that won't scratch his throat and will help soothe it at the same time. Good luck and hope your son gets well soon! Sprite and Shebert were my friends after my tonsils were taken out! The best foods are non-acidic drinks,frozen Popsicles,jello,ice cream,custards,puddings,mashed foods, but avoid hot or spicy ones,or rough ones such as fresh fruits,toast,crackers,potato chips etc. Make sure he drinks plenty of liquids to avoid dehydration. More or less treat it as a sore throat. |
