Question about strep throat?

My daughter had her tonsils, and adenoids taken out in may. Myself and her little sister have strep. Can my older daughter get it if she doesn't have tonsils and adenoids? She has had a bad cold just like her sister and I. She is complaining of a headache right now, I am unsure if she is making it up or not because she wants me to lay down with her, but it made me wonder if she could be sick too?

Yes, she can still get strep.

I'm sorry to hear that. Report It

To see if she has strep, take a flashlight and look down her throat. If you see whiteness, redness or bubbly stuff, she might have strep throat. I don't really know if she can still get if if there's no tonsils but there might be a chance since the bacteria mainly grows in the back of the throat. So I would take precaution just in case.

yeah she can still get it.
