Cannot Eat solid/Semi-Solid food 12 days after tonsillectomy & adenectomy what do I do ?

Today is the 12th day after I had my tonsils and adenoids removed. I cannot eat anything meaning I have problems eating things like apple sauce or vanilla pudding and sometimes eaven thigs like milk.It feels like the food is getting stuck somewhere and even thoug sometimes I feel like I have swollowed the food 5 minutes later I cough it up again.I have lost 22 lbs so far in just 12 days and I am still on a mostly wate diet. Could they (Surgeon) have done something wrong or is this normal.

Ice cream.

Contact your DR

have you gone back for a check-up with the surgeon since you have had them taken out? you should have that looked at because i think you should be able to at least swallow things realatively well now. i cant really remember what it was like when i had mine out. if it keeps that up you should call your doctor to make sure that theres not something wrong in there.

Have you tried eating baby food? Really, its not that bad! as for this being normal I really cant say people have different reactions.I would get in touch with your doctor and tell him what youre expirencing, maybe he can check you out and get to the root of your problems.I hope you feel better soon. rubberstampr
