What does it mean to be adenoidal?

I've read a lot of Agatha Christie books and several times she has said something like 'adenoidal blonde' or 'girl with adenoids' etc etc.

What does that mean?!

just means high pitched voice sounds like "the nanny"

Nasally sounding?

The adenoids are in the throat If they are large it causes one to have a characteristic speech sound, something similar to nasal sounding speech.

If one is considered adenoidal it usually means speaking with a nasal sound. It also ca notes dumb.
