Food for kids after surgery?

My best friend's daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed this morning. She will be going home in a few minutes, and as her honorary Aunt, I'd like to take her a special treat. I know she can't have any dairy or anything red for a few days. Does anyone have any suggestions? She's allowed soft food tonight.

Try some Itailan Ice or Jello. You can make her some Kool-Aid popsciles or get her some sugar free hard candy. Also try getting her some things she can do while shes laying in bed. Like a handheld game for road trips and what not.

i think the best treat would be to bring some ice cream, sprinkles, and other toppings for an ice cream sundae. that way she could have one whenever she wanted. other things she might like would be pudding, italian ice, popsicles....anything cold and sweet :-)

Ask your doctor for suggestions

Mac N Cheese, popsicles, puddings, freeze some yogurt pops.
