Should i wait until after christmas for my daughters adenoid and tonsil removal? |
my 9yr old has always had problems with breathin due to large tonsils and adenoids. so much so that her breathin terrifies me at night as she cant breath through her nose and sounds like shes stopped sometimes, so i let her sleep with me. my dilemma is, i have to call the hospital to make an appt tomorrow. i know at first she will see a consultant and then i guess wait for another appt for her surgery, but i dont know whether to wait until after xmas. it will be just her poor little luck that it will be right on christmas that she has this surgery and will be poorly all over the festive season. Call and ask how soon you can see the doctor and if they good give you an estimate as to when the surgery would be performed. Try not to get it too close to Christmas as she will be tender for about a week as to swallowing all things...and we wouldn't want her to miss all the great deserts. |
