Is surgery still okay?

Is it okay to have surgery on your sinuses/adenoids when you have glandular fever? I have different opinions from the specialist, the doctor and the hospital...
what are the possible complications of surgery/anaesthetic whilst suffering Glandular Fever?
Anyone know?

Surgeon says it's okay as long as her breathing isn't restricted.
Doctor says as long as she doesn't have a fever.
Hospital says it shouldn't be done whilst she has Glandular Fever.

Most of the time doctors won't perform routine surgeries if the patient has a fever. However, I don't know the specifics in this case; it's best to call your doctor/surgeon.
