At my wits end!!?

I am becoming sooo frustrated trying to find answers as to why my almost 14 year old daughter suffers a non-stop headache every single day! The pain is mainly in her forehead, temples and under her eyes. I know it sounds like sinus but the doctor says it's not!
She has had a CT scan (clear) and a blood test (which we don't have the results of yet but sure it will clear too).
She is missing a lot of school due to these headaches... and it's making her extremely inactive.
It isn't a tension headache. She is happy at school and has no problems. It's not due to periods as she has had those for over a year.
She does have adenoids which I thought could be placing pressure on her sinus area but the CT scan report only stated that her sinus were clear (no infection) so is it possible they didn't check for structural problems???
I don't know what else to do for her but she simply cannot go on with a constant headache which starts when she wakes in the morning til she sleeps at night! HELP!

In the last week she has also had sore eyes so I HAVE made her an appointment at the optometrist for an eye test. Would love to find an answer!

Your poor daughter, my daughter gets headaches as well and the Dr said it was hormones. I think she may have been stressed out because she had a new teacher and it took a while for her to get used to her. She's been okay for a while now and only gets the occasional headache.

I have a polyp in my right sinus and it caused me agony, I had to take a lot of time off work. It was found when they did a CT scan, and I did feel a lot better once I was diagnosed. I think what makes your daughters problem worse is that she doesn't know what's causing the headaches.

I would suggest that you see another Doctor and get a second opinion.

Thankyou to everyone that replied... your advice and sympathy was much appreciated... they were all good answers and I'm sorry I can only choose one best answer. Report It

Got blood test results.... Glandular fever... explains heaps. Report It

I'm glad that you've finally found out why your daughter is getting headaches. Are they able to treat Glandular fever? Report It

No. There is nothing that can be done... the patient just needs rest, rest and more rest. Report It

She may need glasses...because i used to get headaches like that and my eye doc told me i needed glasses and my headaches went away

Have you only been to one doctor? I would get another opinion.. I have a family member's child who was misdiagnosed and the family member sought a second opinion on his stomache pains and it was cancer...
Not to make you scared...
It is probably nothing. I get headaches a lot when I am stressed.
Have you had her eyes checked???

Pain is the body's signal that 'something' is wrong. Don't stop looking until you find the problem.
Yoga is one activety that she can do in the dark with her eyes closed if need be that will keep her physical body from deteriorating while she is unable to be active.
Did I read correctly that it is only day time, not at night, 'she sleeps at night'???
Sort of out of left field, but Lupus or any sunshine allergy dis order..........can't hurt to ask??

my friends daughter has sever on going headachs like that and hers were related to puberty and was put on meds to help control those headaches

my son has a rare disorder and her also suffers from sever headaches he also is on meds

i myself had even suffered and was so bad off my doc was given me a shot in the back of my head to numb half my head

it could be cluster headaches, or something else
if i were you i seek a second doc perhaps a neurolgist,
keep the eye doc to rule out the need for glasses

good luck and i hope they find whats wrong with her!

carry on with the eye tests. as well you may want to give her some antihistamines. decongestants. try them for a week or so . as well just keep on working with the medical doctors
