Any mom's out there ever had a child go in for surgery?( tonsils&adenoids)?

my son is 3yrs old and im scared because he is having is first surgery ever and i know its not that major but i had the samething done to me but i was 11yrs old and i was a wussy i hope that my son is stronger than me.

It is totally normal to be worried about your son having surgery. Keep in mind that this surgery will be far easier for him at that age of 3 than it was for you at the age of 11. Children of this age bounce back very quickly. The main thing is that you be there when he wakes up because that is what he will want most....to see you and be held by you. Mom's are the main source of comfort at this age.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or even need to just talk.

It's always hard to see your child sick and helpless.

But this surgery is routine, and simple.

In fact, most hospitals do it as an outpatient now -- so your son may not even have to spend the night.

And just think of the popsicles!!

After the surgery, he should have a lot fewer colds and sore throats.
