After adenoidectomy a4 year boy had sudden cvs collapse& cardiac arrest after 30 mins.?

this sudani boy had an uneventful adenoidectomy.he received voltaren suppository & dicynnone inj in imm postop.he was drowsy but responding to oral commands in the recovery.he had asudden collapse with no sign of external bleeding & could not be resuscitated.postmortem showed both lungs to be full of blood without any air.the conclusion was aspiration of blood.questions:
(1)can aspiration cause complete uniform filling of both the lungs?could it be g6pd def causing heamolysis & aspiration?

Yes, severe aspiration could fill both lungs.

G6PD deficiency could cause hemolysis, but that is inside the blood vessels. That would not explain massive bleeding and aspiration. What happened is much more likely to be related to the operation. Bleeding is a well-known complication of adenoidectomy.

Very sad case.
