What is this dark green thick stuff I am producing in my sinuses?

All right, this may seem gross, and believe me, I have been to the doctor and ENT (ear, nose and throat doctor) for this.

I had a persistent sinus infection both on my adenoids and found another one in my sinuses. I went to an ENT after I had a seizure and they saw a sinus infection in my CAT scan. They gave me medication after medication, but nothing seemed to work, after roughly 10 different meds, my ENT told me to have surgery, so I did, I had a adenoidectomy to remove my infection and a uvualectomy to shorten my uvula.

Ever since then, I have been able to breathe out of both of my nostrils and everything seems to be fine, but since the surgery, I have been having this dark green thick snotty stuff that feels as though it is coming from behind my uvula, I have to literally cough it out and sometimes is so thick, I gag (sorry for the description). The ENT has no idea what this is and says it'll go away, so I am hoping someone might be able to help me here. If anyone can help LMK

I also wanted to add, that I am not sure if this is allergies, I never suffered from them like this, and I am wondering if it is because of the surgery and removal of my adenoids. Any help would be appreciated and right now, the claritin(sp?) I am on is not working. Thanks!

Green snotty stuff indicates an infection. Get some antibiotics.

you have pus wish is an Infection go see your Doctor.

I'd think it's the dirty mucus that had built up in ur sinuses is now emptying. If u smoke,u could actually be aggravating it,and this could cause dirty spittal like this.Hope it clears soon for you. :)
