Question regarding son.? |
My six year old son underwent a adenoidectomy and tonsilectomy yesterday. He did fairly well until this a.m. He hasn't been able to keep anything down all day today. I have tried the medicine, antibiotic and fluids...and it comes back up 20 mins. later. He has only urinated 2 times so far today also. I know that fluid intake is essential. Does this sound fairly normal? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Give him ice chips. not unusual, but call the doctor immediately You need to take him to urgent care and get him some medicine for his nausea and vomiting. call the Dr. asap. dont let your sons health depend on us fools on yahoo. I don't care what time it is when you read this...call your doctor!! If he doesn't get enough fluids in him he will dehydrate and may possibly go into a coma. If you don't call your doctor NOW, then just take him to the ER. This is not a very common reaction to this type of surgery. Like any surgery, it can happen though. |
