I have Addison's Disease and will take a steroid for the rest of my life. How can I lose weight??

I used to be on steriods for about two years. I gains 40 pounds with it. I tried to get rid of the weight by doing arobics with dumbells. I sarted feeling a difference. To lose the weight around my neck, shoulders, and arms, I held the dumbells in my hand and rotated my shoulders round and round. I did that everyday for about two months and I found that I had lost alot of weight around my neck and shoulders. So, dont quit even though you might not see instant weight loss keep the exercise up and you will get there.

Sorry to say but I don't think you will be able to lose weight. I was on steroids 2 different times for the same problem and I could not lose any weight on them. If you exercise and try to watch your diet the weight won't get as bad but you also won't see weight loss. It is one of the side effects unfortunately from steroids. After I stopped the pills is when I lost the weight. About 2 lbs a week. Just try to exercise but it is frustating when you work out but no results. Been there so I sympathize with you
