Is it possible for someone to eat all day without gaining weight?

I watched a show recently called "I eat 33000 calories per day" - Morbidly obese people were profiled who ate upwards of 30,000 calories in a single day --everyday.
I was thinking about people with ultrahigh metabolisms -(exluding those with actual diseases such as Grave's or addison's disease, etc) . and was wondering if they could eat 100,000 calories everyday of their lives without gaining weight --

But then I was thinking --I wonder if it would be possible --sometime in the future or now --without the aid of artificial thyroxine injections ---to be able to eat everything all day long and never gain a pounds -or if you did gain weight -how much would the avg person gain if they did this?? would they become morbidly obsese ---or just overweight??/

100,000 calories in a day!?!?!? I don't know what show you were watching but let me assure you that it would a physical impossibility to eat 100,000 calories in a day. I don't care how morbidly obese you are it would be simply impossible, your stomach couldn't handle that much food.

You would have to have an extraordinarily large metabolism to be able to eat ANYTHING you wanted all day long and not gain any weight, in fact I would be willing to bet my life that it's impossible, you would gain at least some weight. For the average person with an average metabolism if they ate anything they wanted all day long then they would gain a very large amount of weight, I'm talking like 10-15 pounds a month, if they ate all day everyday.

More then that it would be so unhealthy that I don't even want to imagine it. Anyone who is eating upwards of 30,000 calories in a day is morbidly obese and is probably going to be dead in a few years. Their cholesterol levels would be through the roof, they would be setting themselves up for diabetes as well as heart disease.

So to answer your question more simply. It is IMPOSSIBLE to eat 100,000 calories in one day, and for people who get over 30,000 in a day they are morbidly obese or will become morbidly obese very very very quickly.

Also I want to point out that even if your metabolism is high and you don't gain any weight, that DOES NOT mean that you are healthy!!! I can be 170 lbs and have a high metabolism, but if I am eating nothing but hot pockets all day there is a LOT of saturated fat and cholesterol in those and even if I maintained a good weight I would still be wreaking havoc on your heart...

im pretty effin sure there are some lucky people like that with really really really great metabolism.

and hopefully some amazing person will invent something that we can just sit on our asses and eat all day and never gain weight.

This all depends on what exactly you are eating. You could eat lettuce all day and not become obese, just a little sick probably :) One pound is equal to 3500 calories. You do the math...

DEAR LORD!!!!!!

well, i definetley do not have a high methabolism!

well, i am one of them, but i do notice that people like me would usually have ultra oily skin. I somehow think that my body excretes the oil through my skin excessively. it gets pretty annoying.

even though i can't get fat, i control my eating habit to just 3 times a day, just to keep the oil level down.

you'll put on weight but if you work out it turns to muscles and the calories are used for energy. Arnold Schwarzenegger needed 50,000 calories for a SINGLE leg. supplements though not eating

If your calorie intake is greater than your calorie expenditure, you're going to lose weight.

You burn a certain number of calories per day just for living and breathing. This is known as your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). This varies from person to person, depending on their fitness levels, current weight, and genetics. IN GENERAL for someone who is 130 lbs, it's about 1100-1200 calories. Then you expend another 700 calories or so doing normal everyday activities such as brushing your teeth, getting dressed, moving about the house, etc... Exercising, of course, expends even more.

A pound of fat is 3500 calories. So lets say someone was sitting on their butt all day eating 10000 calories. Let's say they're already overweight. They would expend 3000 on the generous side. This leaves 7000 calories for the body to store away, which equals 2 lbs.

The weight would add on FAST. Yes, they would become morbidly obese. I can't even imagine how much food 33000 calories are. Even top olympic athletes with sky high BMR's PLUS the energy expenditure for their sport only eat 6K-7K. And I thought that number was high :-P

The people on that show are killing themselves. It is impossible to metabolize that, no matter how active you are. Your BMR can only vary so much.

=D yea i think i saw that show too..wow but i dont think thast possible of 33000 calories, thats like 30 triple whoppers from burger king...thats a lot, dang if some one did eat that much, gosshh dont want to image it, and if they did have some thing like that of not gaining weight and eating what ever some one would be richer than bill gates ^^.....and it would be expensive,
