Can you help me out with this? |
My wife has a chronic illness (Secondary Addison's Disease) and must take 12 - 15 medications per day. Essentially, her endocrine system is not functioning and she has to replace virtually everything the endocrine system would otherwise provide to her body. A couple of those medications have caused her to gain about 40 extra pounds...and the doctors say that she's probably going to keep gaining. She is very depressed about that (she takes medication for depression, too. It's helping.) She keeps running herself into the ground saying, "I'm a big fat pig!" Tell her that it really hurts you when she says such mean things about herself because you love her unconditionally. Make sure you tell her that what is happening to her isn't her fault and you love her no matter what. Then surprise her and take her away for a romantic weekend to reinforce what you just said. :) You're very welcome, I'm glad I could help. Best wishes to both of you :) Report It shes going through a lot.. |
