Ok, like 3 times a year i get candida infections in my esophagus then shows up in my mouth, plus constant women's typical style infection. I'm allregic to diflucan and all azole antifungals, and nystatin liquid isn't working. Looking for anyone with a history of these infections constantly. I've had like 7 upper endoscopy's in the last 4 years and even when i don't have an infection my esophagus looks like a rough torn up mess. when i became allergic to diflucan, i can't take anything to get rid of it. I get the infections because i take inhaled steroids for asthma and oral steroids for addison's disease. looking for a way to prevent them (tried yogurt and started taking acidophilus) or even naturally treat them. PLEASE HELP.................. doctors don't help much but try to treat infection but rarely do they remove it totally so it just keeps growing back. if you have a suggestion please add a website or book or any reference to it so i can check up on saftey with all the medications i am on and other health issues. Thanks. First off, after each dose inhaled steroids you take ( I am guessing you are on something like Advair, like me), you need to brush your teeth and tongue and gargle well. This will prevent Thrush from starting in your mouth. I take acidophilus capsules also that help control the overgrowth of yeast and each yogurt daily. Make sure you store your opened botte of acidophilus in the refrigerator (this is a must). Keep taking your Nystatin swish and swallow, because it will help with the yeast in your esophagus and stomach. Make sure when you take it, you do not eat or drink anything for at least an hour after taking it. This will let it coat the inside of your mouth and esophagus, without rinsing it away with food and drink. Good luck. |
