Cured by TCM?

Hi everyone! I'm writing about TCM and i was wondering if there is anyone who is willing to share with me in what ways acupuncture or herbs have helped or cured an illness. It would be very helpful =) Thanx!

There is no cure for cancer either tradional or non-traditional. Any information that you find that says there is a cure will not have any type of scientific documented evidence to back the claim up. I am a real person. My son has been fighting advanced cancer for over two and a half years. We know many cancer patients that have tried traditional, alternative, integretative. The only treatment that has any substantial documentation that it works is traditional. Those are the facts. Report It

First of all this question appears in the cancer catagory. No. the only way to cure cancer is through the care of a Urologist and/or an Oncologist. Herbal medicine does not work for cancer. If your question was just a general question in medication, please move it to another catagory.

Chinese medicine curing cancer? I've heard claims that Peruvian medicine are cure cancer. I think every culture has its folk medicine remedies. They are just claims. There is no clinical data showing any benefit. There is no rationale why any of these methods should work.

There may be some effectiveness of folk medicine on certain "static" ailments. However, never believe anyone who claims one cure for all cancers. Cancer is no one disease but, hundreds perhaps thousands, each based on the specific set of genetic mutations and cell type effected. Cancer is an incredibly complex condition and often a moving target.

Go over to alt.support.cancer on Usenet and read the many messages from people located in China that have been stricken with cancer that are desperate to get treatment in US hospitals using fact based Western medicine and then you would know for sure that TCM is not a realistic treatment for cancer.

Thanks to the Chinese picking up the bad habit of heavy cigarette smoking China is now exploding with new cases of throat and lung cancer.
