What's wrong with me??please i need advice!?

I have always had menstrual problems from the beginning, they were only regular for the first couples of periods then went out of whack, i got them once every 2/3 months and i started at the age of like 13..when i turned 19 years old i got married and stopped having periods all together for about a year. was on birth control but only for 2 days(didnt like the feeling) so i tried female toner got a very extremely light period in october7th-14th..then decided to try vitex which didnt work...went to the doc had everything checked besides my hormone levels and everything was perfect.. decided to try acupuncture and their herbs and it not doing anything, if anything my brown spotting stopped(that i had frequent)again it's been almost 4 months. i'm 5'3 110lbs if that helps, no symptoms of pcos either.. anybody ever have this problem???if so what did u do? what can i do?? very concerned

My sister was like that. She had fibroids on her ovaries when she was 18, she was diagnosed with cancer at age 33 and died at age 35. Do not stop going to Doctors until they fix the problem which will likely lead to cancer down the road.

Female problems are the 1st sign.

It can take up to 3 years from the time a girl starts menstruating for her body to develop a regular cycle. Even then, what's regular varies from person to person. Girls' cycles can range from 21 to 45 days.

Changing hormone levels might make your period short one month (such as 2 or 3 days) and more drawn out (such as 7 days) the next. You might skip a few months, get two periods almost right after each other, have a really heavy period, or one so light you almost don't notice it. (If you're sexually active and you skip a period, though, you should visit your doctor or a women's clinic to make sure you're not pregnant.)

All this irregularity can make planning for your period a real hassle. Try to keep track of when your last period started, and guess that about 4 weeks from that day you could be due for another. If you're worried about wearing that cute dress and suddenly starting your period at school, just make sure you pack protection. Carry a pad or tampon in your backpack, and wear a pantiliner to handle the first wave.

When it comes to periods, every girl's body has a unique (and unpredictable) timeline for getting on track. If your period still has not settled into a relatively predictable pattern after 3 years, or if you have four or five regular periods and then skip your periods for a couple of months, make an appointment with your doctor to check for possible problems.

My mother had a yeast infection that cause her not to have periods for about 2 years. You might check that out and see if it is an option. go to your doctor about it and see if you can get antibiotics, and drink lots of cranberry juice!

Make an appointment with a gynecologist today!
Something is not right. It may not be serious but it is obviously causing you to stress. None of us need that!
Write down all of your symptoms and go to the doctor with them. Be very honest with your doctor--that is the only way they can help you!
Good luck to you!

You might have what runs in my family. Cysts on your ovaries, they can cause many painful and irregular things like that. Including sterilization, its terrible, and I might have it. But you really need to ask your gyno about it.

i had the very same symtoms, and they lasted for about ten years, and now i am finally back to normal

no doctor ever found out what happened

i give you my support

Dear for the time it took you to type all of that and for you to try and explain, it would have been much simpler and much quicker for you to pick up your phone and call your doctor!!

i have heard extremely active women and especially anorexic women do not have periods. in fact you are not considered anorexic even if u don't eat until you lose your period. maybe you are to thin or active ?????

I would get your hormones tested again, and speak to an endocrinologist to CONFIRM that they are normal or not.

Irregular menstruation doesn't have to do with your ovaries being out of whack, the problem may stem from your pituitary or adrenals or thyroid.

Amennorrhea is the absence of normal periods, and has many causes.Primary reasons include disorders of the Endocrine system, that includes the Pituitary,Thyroid,Adrenal,Ovaries and any part of the female reproductive system.Normally the Hypothalamus stimulates the Pituitary to start releasing hormones to trigger the normal females cycle monthly.High & low thyroid hormones cause the stopping or infrequet cycles. The same thing with the adrenals high or low blood levels of Cortisol,a natural Corticosteroid hormone.Even diet and over doing excersise can be a cause..Sorry I don't know about the remedies you took before, but 2 days with the BCP's was hardly long enough to have any benifits. If this is impotant to you, perhaps you should try conventional medicine, with specialist in Ob- Gyn or Internal Medicine,or Endocrinology. Good luck. SW RNP

go to the doctor again. your weight is normal, if not a little on the slim side. but your weight is not undernormal so it should not stop you from getting your period.
