Can your Menstrual cycle be irregular?

My Menstrual cycle is really irregular. Sometimes it won't come between 2-3 months. Is that normal? My mother is always worried that this is a sickness, but I say different. She always wants me to get acupunctures to somehow force it to come. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. If this is happening to me, then it must be happening to other people also.

Go see the doctor

it's very normal. For alot of women, their mentral don't regulate until their 20's.

yes many peoples cycles are irregular its not just you

yes, you should speak with your gyn.

It can definitely be irregular. Mine was and I didn't have periods for 2 or 3 months and when I did it was a scary heavy flow. Forget the accupuncture and stuff, get on some form of birth control. The hormones regulate your cycle and your periods will come regularly and be much less painful and heavy

I WON'T SAY THAT IT'S 'NORMAL' BUT SOME WOMEN (INCLUDING MYSELF) HAVE IRREGULAR CYCLES. IT COULD BE RELATED TO STRESS, YOUR EATING HABITS OR JUST YOUR CHEMICAL MAKEUP. BUT, TO BE SURE I WOULD GET A COMPLETE PHYSICAL EXAM. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY

yes it is normal

Are you eating ok? I had a friend who was busy with school and eating only snacks on the go. When she started eating full meals her period became normal. Same can be true if you are over weight or over stressed. Try relaxing a bit :). Exercise. If going to the gym is unpleasant for you then try something you enjoy like swimming at the pool, playing soccer with friends, or jogging while listening to music.

Try to find some moderation in you habits. Eat, sleep, and exercise regularly but not too much or too little. If that doesnt improve you situation in a couple months then you should see a doctor.

Yes and no. Doctors say that a person is suppose to at the bare minium have at least 3 periods a year. I have polysctic ovaries. I can go six months without a period. I now take meds for this condition but, sometimes even on meds i wont get my period for 3 months. Doctors advise was to watch what i ate. Maintaing a good weight was important and exercise. Skipping your period isnt a bad thing. Sometimes stressing about not having your period will prevent you from having it. Drink plenty of water. Maybe a visit to your Gyno is due. He or she can really help with finding out if there is a problem. Relax and go for walks .. I find that helps... good luck!

yep, especially if you just started these past two years..but if you r a month over your usual date- better safe than sorry: check in with your doctor!!!
