Acupuncture and Food Allergies?

My wife has bad food allergies, I was wondering if acupuncture would help cure the allergies?

Has anybody here had acupuncture to help allergies?

Did it help?

How many sessions is typical, where about would they place the needles etc?

I've heard of accuPRESSURE for allergies... but it's a load of hooey in my book.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of accupuncture and get it done myself.

But my sister and her kids all have severe food allergies and were told to get accupressure to fix it.

6 months and TONS of $$ later, they were all just as allergic to everything as they were before.

I suggest allergy shots if she can take them. Other than that, just avoid the foods causing the problems.
