Is acupuncture physiological or physical?

pls.... i m doing a science project about acupuncture i dunno if acupuncture is due to phycological healing or it does work

acupunture has both pyschological and physical characters.the needle is inserted in anatomical landamrks to alter certian neuron transmissions this is the physical factor.,psychological also the patient is convinced and believed that he is improving and when the physical alters the neuron transmission it changes neurontransmitters along the nerve pathway ,in both the peripheral and central nervous sytem ,so its a combination of both(physical and psychological)

I would say both because you feel better but it could be all in the head that its because of the acupuncture

well...it depends..i mean for most of the conditions like facial palsy,paralysis and many other neuromuscular disorders,the results are quite amazing(within 2-3weeks of therapy)..so cant be totally psychological,but still there are some psychic factors which play some role..
