Is there something to remove acne spots?

I had the bad habit of picking on my breaking out pimples and therefore i have spots that are left like scars..is there anything i can do to help remove or atleast reduce those spots?? because putting on foundation or cancealer doesn't help me cover it..they are really dark..

Oh Honey, please don't pick at your acne, because it WILL leave scars, some that will be permanent. In fact, and I know that it will be hard, but try not to touch your face with your hands at all unless you are washing your face or if you absolutely have to because no matter how many times a day you wash your hands, your hands and all of our hands, are still considered dirty by biological standards. There are all kinds of bacteria left on our hands even when using an antibacterial hand soap. In nursing school, in our chemistry class, we did the old experiment where we scrub our hands with antibacterial soap for 5 min. and then touch the petri dishes and boom, a garden of bacteria growing. You can cause an infection if you pick your acne and some of those critters get under your skin and then the trouble, and infection and scars.
After your skin has healed, meaning that there are no open sores or picked acne on your face, remember to keep your face and hands as clean as you can and never sleep in your make up. You can try using a gentle exfoliating product a couple, three times a week when you wash your face at bedtime and then try a product containing something with retinol--Vit A--- or alpha hydroxy product, and now there are products containing vit C. What these products do, for women trying to lessen the appearance of wrinkles, is remove the top layer of dead skin gradually so the new, younger skin appears. These products will help get rid of the appearance of scars, but it is a slow process. Also, if you use these products, you cannot, absolutely no way, go out in the sun without a good sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 because the newer skin is fragile and can be damaged causing more, worse scars. You most likely are a young woman who doesn't need to get rid of wrinkles, so be careful. This is not going to be an immediate solution for you. Right now, the only thing you can do is go to a cosmetic counter in a store like Macy's or Sephora. They have some awesome cover up creams and they will help you match your color as closely as possible and teach you how to use it properly. all of this may seem like alot of work, and the choice is yours, but the best thing for you right now, is to STOP picking at your acne NOW so new scars don't pop up. And remember to keep everything clean and eat a healthy diet. OK, I'll stop preaching. Good Luck!!!

I hear maderma(sp?) works pretty well. I havent tried it myself though.

Get a can of Garbonza Beans at your local grocery store.....mash them up with a bit of water to make a paste! Thenrub it on everynight while sleeping and they WILL go away!

I use Neutrogena Advanced Solutions. It has a night time cream w/benzoyl peroxide in it that will help bleach out those spots. Be careful that you don't get it on you clothes and rinse your hands really well after applying!
