Im on doxycycline for my acne its like an antibiotic... is this going?

Hello, dear.Acne is such a nasty and bothering skin condition, the worst is if you fall into depression.
Doxycicline is one of the top choices treating and maintaining the moderate to severe form of acne. As an antibiotic it has a large range of bacteria that kills ( both steptococus and staphilococus). The course treating acne ususally, usually takes two to maximum three months. Every month you are administered to intake 100mg Doxycicline for 20 days, the next month you are supposed to continue with another 20 days. So you must be OK, of course with the proper local treatment and balanced diet.
It is highly recommended to stop BC pills as they decrease the effectc of some antibiotics, Doxycicline is one of them.

Antibiotics can decrease the efficiency of birth control pills, and doxycycline is one known to have this problem. You need to use another method of contraception and speak with the person who prescribes your birth control pills. (It isn't like an antibiotic, it is one, by the way, a form of tetracycline.)

It's better to use an extra method whenever you need antibiotics, even the ones that are supposedly safe. I found this out the hard way, with a "safe" antibiotic.
