Acne !?!?!?!?!?!? |
Hia i suffer from acne and have been off doxcycline for about 2 weeks now and all of my acne has come back- its worse than before does anyone know a good prescribed antibiotic to take to make my acne go away !! as im planning to go to the doctors tommorow about it thanks My son suffered with Acne like yourself and he was prescribed Antibiotics. He was on these for 6 months, but the Dr did say that when he stopped taking them the Acne may come back,in which case he would have to go back on them.It may be that you need to take them for a longer period of time.Im sure your Dr will sort it for you. www.acneking.co.nr Report It Spectro Gel, Proactiv, Clean And Clear, Oxy Pads. Hey I know of the two BEST treatments for acne. (1) Roaccutane : but I wouldn't advise you to use it because it has a side effect on woman. (2) The pill! This is the contraceptive yes. It is superb and I've seen many people improve drastically using this medicine. ask your doctor to refer you to a dermatologist...... there are different antibiotic treatments you could try (Minocycline, Tertracycline, Erythromycin, etc.) or you may need ROACCTUTANE...... only prescribed by hospital doctors, but the drug is extremely effective. I've been on it 5 times, for Rosacea (same treatment as acne) Roaccutane Not sure on antibiotic, but drink lots of water, wash in carbolic non scented soap. hi when i was in my teens (a long time ago) i reduced my acne by washing my face with soap and water whenever i washed my hands after going to the bathroom it really helped although the results wern't instant. hope this helps I had acne, but then I noticed that when I went on the contraceptive pill, it cleared up really fast. It's because it alters hormones, and your sebaceous gland does not produce so much oil, causing spots. You don't necessarily have to go on the pill as a form of contraceptive, so maybe it's worth asking your doctor about as a treatment for the acne. hello. i am 25 and have suffered acne for years, but i get cystic acne as well as the whiteheads and blacheads etc the thing with antibiotics is that they only work whilst you are on them, as soon as you go off them the bacteria starts rto develop at the same rate as it did before the antibiotics reduced its producation. the only thing left for you and me is roaccutane or its also called accutane or isotetinine, you have to be on the pill at the same time coz it causes severd birth defects on an unborn baby, if you become pregnant whilst on it you have to have an abortion,. Doctors can't prescribe roaccutane only a dermotologist can so you will need to be referred from your doctor to the hospital. ask to see one, i did. also roaccutane is a very serios drug, it is metabloised through your liver and causes nosebleeds, dry flaky skin and sometimes deprression, you need to have montly blood tests and pregnancy tests every month to see if your liver is being damagerd or if your cholestoral ir rising as it causes your chlosteral to rise too. but sayign alll this is is the last resort treatments and usually works amaziknlgy, its not like antibiotics that only reduce the bacteria on you skin...accutane actually reduces the pore size and oil production in your skin....but it can cause slight hair loss too.......a usaul course is between 4-6 months and you have to decide of it is the worth the side effects on your body to get clear skin.for me it is.as i will be 26 in march and have had enough, i am not going to "grow out" of my acne, if you are young or under like 22-23 ish then i would wait, unless your acne is so severe it ruins your life. all my best to you. i was on doxycycline and it broke me out once i stopped using it. however, it did work, you just have to drink massive amounts of water with it! The best s to wash your face with mild soap more often as often as you see oil in your face then abstain from touching your face with unwashed hands. Your hand has the bacteria that will reinfect your facial skin. Acne are skin infections that why it is treated with antibiotics. Roaccutane. It isn麓t an antibiotic. It is isotretinoin, which is a very high concentration of vitamin A. I know exactly how you feel. Many people don't understand Two of my three children have/had acne and my duaghter is now on the pill (aged 21) and this has helped her somewhat add to this the healthier eating plan. My son also has severe acne and now he is 23 it has nearly faded altogether. The antibiotic is not working for you because your skin is still providing the environment needed for the P. acnes bacteria to proliferate. my son has been using pine tar soap for a over two months now. it has really helped clear it up. he had it really bad. huge sores on his face, back and some on his arms and chest. you can get it thru your pharmacy. it costs about $4 a bar and a bar can last 3-4 wks. His skin is 100 percent clearer now there are quite a few natural tablets in health stores and chemists that we recommend at work. also you could ask your doctor for a low dosage steroid cream aswell to help the tablets work better minicin is very good To go to the doctor and take antibiotic seems not like a long term solution. I have had acne problems myself so I know that acne is a tremendously embarrassing and burdensome problem but there are ways to actually cure acne naturally without meeting any medical doctor. As long as you use antibiotics you have only hidden the problem but not solved it. Do you stop taking your antibiotics when you start to feel that your skin is clearing up? You really shouldn't, because the bacteria can build up a resistance (aka.. antibiotic resistance, i'm sure we've all heard of this), thus the bacteria can come back stronger than ever. This link is to a brochure written by my dermatologist. It has a lot of wonderful tips for acne. A person never outgrows the tendency for acne. Dr. Alkek prescribed for me, Minocycline, a skin cleanser that he developed for his acne patients, a topical antibiotic and benzoyl peroxide. He later added Retin-A. (I still use his cleanser and the Retin-A) Then I went into his office every 2 weeks for glycolic acid treatments and the nurse would perform acne surgery when needed. I only needed to be on the antibiotics a fairly short period of time. First, I understand where you're coming from. I grew up with really bad acne, not only on my face but on my body as well. It was embarrassing and I tried everything including cleansers, creams, prescription medications, antibiotics, over the counter medications, and even shots from the dermatologist (ouch!) to get rid of it. I never did until many years later when it didn't matter as much. I have used several of their programs, most have rocked, some didnt -- so overall, I say that they are safe to do business with and have good programs. It is a lesson to ponder. Never make use of certain product that you are not sure of the results. You should have something recommended by your dermatologist or doctor. It is a fact that severe ACNE problems torment many teens as well as older men and women. Don't wait to become one of them! There are many treatments available, some of which may come as a surprise to you. If you have been wanting to research different treatment options, I believe http://www.skinsosilky.com/acne-skin-car... offers what will work best for you. I had acne for YEARS and went through tons of treatments. Birth control pills definitely helped. I never liked taking anti-biotics long term, so I always just used topical prescriptions. My dermatologist switched me to Benzaclin, which is benzoyl peroxide and topical erythomycin (an anti-biotic). The stuff worked great and I didn't have itchy, flaky skin. Definitely ask your doctor about it. You may need accutane now. Skin treatments will not work they are just a temporary fix for a much deeper problem honey. You need to go to the doctor and get on birth control pills. This is a result of excess androgens (male hormones) in your body. I had the same problem (i'm 19) and I tried every product known to man including proactive which only made my skin worse. Since going on birth control pills my skin has been dramatically changed for the better. I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm on Doxycyline right now and it works great. The problem is my acne always comes back when i get off the pill. Drink lot's of water and keep your hands off your face. Your hands are the leading cause of dirt that causes clogged pores on your face. Talk to your doctor about treatments that will work for you. If they don't have any suggestions, ask to be seen by a dermitologist. And don't worry, you will notice your acne more than everyone else. I know I notice my own. It is the first thing I see. You learn to get through it though, in the end, you will be beautiful. It doesn't matter what you look like, as long as you have a great personality and love yourself. I hope this helps. Good luck! Remember, to tell yourself you're are beautiful inside and out no matter what anyone says. Hi there! |
