Unsolved breathing issues?

i live in an apartment 3rd floor, and i'm 20. my symptoms are breathing difficulties (worst late night early morning), phlegm in throat, earache, mild cough, (tickle in throat when i lift my chin), very mild headaches, burning eyes (has gone away significantly since i dusted my room).

i went to the doctor and he simply told me it sounds like bad allergies, no wheezing or anything, but the issue is, the allegra isnt fixing the problem, the nasal thingy nasonex does NOTHING it doesnt even stop the phlegm so maybe it's not post nasal drip like he thought? and i never sneeze, dont you sneeze with allergies? it doesn't make any sense but it seems the problem persists through the medicine almost like it isn't allergies but what else could it be? i've already had chest xrays and everything but catscan and came out healthy before. i'm guessing it's either bad allergies, asthma (which the doctor shot down a bit) or acid reflux, but even when i dont eat the problem persists.

my primary doctor couldn't take an allergy test so i asked for the number of an allergen. i've been considering an allergy test but i never heard of doing it that way i thought you just take a blood test to find out your allergies.

Do you dust and clean your home.
People can have an allergy test where the doctor puts several known allergens on your arm using a small needle. I think that this is what id be asking for if i was you.
Dont use a dry cloth in your home to dust make sure it moist that way the dust particles whill ahere to the cloth.
YOU obviously have an allergy but to what?? that is the quiestion that you need answered and the above is how you go about getting it sorted.

An allergy test is about 24 injections They might not do Lions, Tigers and bears if you don't work in a zoo.

Might be a mold in the apt..

I have a 12 yr old with allergies, his testing involved these little plastic tines (not sharp or painful, he was 6 at the time) their grouped in 8's and dipped in different allergens and pressed to the skin after a few minutes, the areas either did nothing or raised up like a mosquito bite (allergic reacton), now his food allergy tests were needles (separate) and were not really injected but put in at a sideways type way on the back fleshy part of his bicep (I was present ans watched ths all) now it may be different for adults but I don't see how a blood test could check for all allergies. My son has like 12-13 mostly environmental, all those meds including over the counter and prescription did nothing for his symptoms now he has injections that started at once a week and has graduated to once a month and he's lost a allergy...and no he never sneezed.
