Sorry another prozac question?

I have decided to try takingit at nite due to the unreal tiredness it was causing me. i have just taken it. Is it ok to take a zantac (heart burn/acid reflux) tablet it with/ will this affect it?

It is fine to take it at night, despite the usual instruction to take it in the morning. Make sure having altered your timing you try and take each tablet as close to 24 hours apart as you can.

Yes, that is fine. Zantac does not affect your serotonin levels and will not cause any adverse reaction when taken with Prozac. I think Prozac is actually a cause of the stomach upset.

There arent any documented drug interactions between Zantac (ranitidine) and Prozac (fluoxetine).

You can safely take both medication without them effecting each other.

Not sure about this one; I never take any other medicines with anti depressants unless I've checked it with either a pharmacist or a doctor. I'd advise you to ask before taking the zantac.

I also took Prozac at night and as long as I was only on 20mg, it worked really well.

why do you or others take Prozac? forgive my ignorance but does it cure everything like duct tape?

Prozac should be taken in the morning after eating a breakfast as this helps it to work and should not be taken at night nor should it make you drowsy you should have been told this by your GP before starting this medication you should go back and discuss this with your GP

Yes it is fine to take them together, I take them both at bedtime all the time.
