Lump in my throat when swallowing?

i have indigestion and acid reflux problems,so i pretty much watch what i eat and drink.Lately,however, every time i eat,i get these kind of hiccup-burps,and it feels like i have a lump in my throat when i swallow.This lump is always there.i can feel it when i swallow.any ideas what it might be?

i am hypothyroid and take meds for that since i was 4 mos old.i dont smoke and never will.this lump feels like it is only on the left side,i think,but i can feel it all the time.its just more noticeable after eating.

i had that too for about a year. after i quit smoking, i felt like there was something inside my throat. like a furball or something. i tried my best to get it off but it didnt work. it really didnt bother me but it felt mad uncomfortable. i went to throat doctor, took xray. found nothing wrong. finally, i went to pediatrician and he said i have acute asthma. took medicine for 1 month and i dont feel that anymore. if u actually see a lump, you should go see ur doctor. if u smoke, dont...

Goiter, go to dr and have your thyroid checked.

With acid reflux, swelling of the throat can happen...it is acid, after all. But, anytime there is an issue with swallowing, you should call your doctor. Thyroid is a common reason for problems swallowing also, but more serious issues can be a result. Regardless, you need to call the doctor. If this problem is caused by something swelling in your throat, it can and will close airways constricting breathing. Preventative maintenance to your body is a necessity, not option.
