Heart Question?

Hello.My heart skips on & off. For the 100 times my heart had skipped. 2 times my heart had hurted. Just now it done it & it scared me. Do anybody know what could it be or did u heard of this. I was eating a banana when it happened and my heart rate was up,I do have acid reflux and it do make my heart race at tiimes. I just want to know if someone ever heard of a thing like this. I hope someone give me something good....Thanks

Hello, I am a Paramedic and what it sounds like is its your acid reflux that causes your chest pain. The same nerves that are in your esophagus and stomach are the same nerves that are around your heart. Your heart itself does not have any nerves and cant feel but there are nerves that surround the heart and that is what you feel if you have a heart attack. Those same nerves go to your stomach and esophagus and can cause chest pain. I would however talk to your doctor about it just to rule out anything that has to do with your heart.

I've heard of it; your heart isn't anything to play around with. Tell your doctor about it and that several times it hurt. He may want you to get an EKG and see a cardiologist.

Do you ever get short of breath? Let the doc know exactly what you feel. Sometimes the doc will chose to monitor your heart rate and rhythm when you're away from the office. But let him be the judge; you'll feel better, too.
