?????????????? |
Ok so I get pretty bad reflux. Not usually heatburn, just nausea/acid and stuff. Your esophagus is inflammed because you have ongoing reflux. The sore throat is secondary to gastric acid that refluxes and burns your throat. This is made worse when you are recumbent (lying down). The chest pain you are experiencing is heart burn (when the gastric acid irritates the esophagus). Sounds like significant oesophagitis with occassional regurgitation of gastric contents all the way to your oral cavity. Having the fundoplication makes this even more likely.Your PPI meds (proton pump inhibitors) could probably be increased...eg.prilosec from 20 to 40 mgm/day. Make sure H.pylori is not an issue. |
