Acid Reflux.............? |
I have acid reflux and i have taken 2 pepcids today and i'm still getting wet burps and i like spit up this morning, almost like throwing up but just in my mouth and it just came up, orange juice. I went to the doctor and she said like 1 or 2 pepcids a day would do it but i'm still getting them!!! wut should i do? k, thx cindy. I am not a doctor, so either way you will want to talk to them, but this is what I have to say as a long time sufferer of Acid Reflux (G.E.R.D.)! Get some Prilosec and take one every morning before you eat. Your life will change forever. The only caveat; you have to keep doing it. If in fact it is acid reflux and not an infection that can be cured with one week of antibiotics, you need a prescription strength acid control. There are lots of different one. Stay away from acidic foods orange juice, coke, pepsi, ice tea, tea, oranges, tomato sauce, ketchup, chocolate. Don't wear tight fitting clothing around the waist. Don't lay down or bend over after a meal. Don't eat before bed. It also could be related to stress as well. It will get better if you avoid these types of foods. I have a friend and she is suffering from acid reflux. She is always drinking after meals the excess water after boiling rice. She is happy with this natural remedy. I think it is the starch in the water which is soothing it. Try it and see what happened................. I have the same problem. Take Prilosec every day for 14 days, then stop and see how long you can go before needing to take it again. I would recommend eating some sauerkraut or drinking a glass of water with 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every day. It's a natural way of shutting off the production of stomach acid, which allows your esophagus to heal. The vinegar also tightens up the esophagus which helps close it and prevents stomach acid from coming up. avoid acidic drinks like orange juice and sodas the problem maybe of a different nature like peptic ulcer or something else i have acid reflux alot i know what your goin through . |
