Taking Acid Reflux meds.. CAN I USE INDOOR TANNING BED??

I am taking 2 different prescription drugs for my heartburn/acid reflux. Since heartburn and acid reflux are a pretty common condition, can I use an indoor tanning bed even tho I am on medication? I read somewhere before if your taking antibiotics do not tan in an indoor bed.. just wondering, I am so pale haven't been in so long!

There are a lot of medications that cause people to become photosensitive. My sister was on a medication with that side effect - used a tanning bed - and got second degree burns.

Your local pharmacist has a master list of drugs and their side effects - call and ask if your medication is among those that warn you to stay away from exposure to the sun.

Peace!! --De

I don't know of any photosensitive reactions that are associated with GERD medications. If in doubt, contact your pharmacist and ask them; that's one reason you're paying them, after all!

If harmful like that there's usually a warning sticker on the bottle. If your that concerned talk to your pharmacist the phone number also on the bottle.
