Acid Reflux? help?

I have acid reflux. is it possible for me to get headaches, fevers, and sleepless when i get it bad? how long can it last. i feel like im about to vomit sometimes when i get it bad. Is that possible it would be acid reflux or something else?

However, if you've been diagnosed with acid reflux you may have a Hiatal Hernia (Dictionary.com: an abnormal condition in which part of the stomach protrudes upward through the esophageal cleft in the diaphragm, sometimes causing a backflow of acid stomach contents into the esophagus.)

Also high levels of stress are known contributors to increase stomach acid production. Sleeplessness and headaches could also, easily, be brought on by high levels of stress. Regarding the fevers, that I don't know.

As far as medications, there are several available over the counter (OTC) and through prescription that could help you.

Watch the amount of food you eat and the speed at which you eat it. Eat smaller portions and eat slower, learn to relax or breathing techniques... decompress your life.

Yes, acid reflux certainly can cause other problems, such as headaches and sleepiness and also the feeling of vomiting(which may really happen when you have reflux bad),. I have never really found something that "cured" acid reflux, but I do take Extra-Strength Mylanta for my acid reflux disease. Best of luck to you!
