Who knows about the disabilty Achondroplasia? |
Info needed by Sunday.... Ok I know about the whole dwarf thing but like, how do people with this disability cope with an everyday life? It is the most common form of dwarfism. How do people cope with it?? they just do...they are born with it so they adapt as they grow . they may not look the same or do things the same as everyone else but they are the same inside. i don't think it causes retardation. there is a good show on the discovery channel that discusses achon. and there was recently an atricle in readers digest that talked about it also. I do know that it's a form of dwarfism, that usually leads to other health problems (I mean, aside from just giving the sufferer an unusual body type). It should be VERY easy to do a web search for the disease and find information on WebMD or something of that sort. It is an inherited condition in which the formation of cartilaginous bone is stalled or retarded. The result is a type of dwarfism. |
