Achilles tendon injury? |
Two weeks ago i started experiencing pain in the area where my achilles tendon is.. i did some research and found ways of treating it, fortunetly i was only at stage 1 of the injury.. i have been icing the area, stretching it gently and resting. A week ago i massaged out the spot where it was hurting and this week the pain eased a bit. Although it felt better a few days ago, today its starting to hurt more. Due to this i havent been able to continue with my daily running aww does anyone know how long it will take for my foot to recover? Im getting very impatient and cant wait to get back into running!! Should i continue resting it? any suggestions will be appreciated thanxs It sounds like you strained the tendon somehow. If it continues to be a problem, you should probably see a health care professional about it, because damage to the achilles is no laughing matter. Really all you can do for now is try to stay off of it as much as possible. As far as a recovery time... pretty much impossible to say without knowing the severity of the injury. If it continues to be a lingering problem, I would definitely consult a doctor. |
