I have pain in the back of my heel. Does anyone know what could be causing it? |
The pain is on the back of my right heel. When it bothers me my heel on the back feels bruised. It also looks like there could be some inflamation there. I hurt my achilles tendon hiking about 9 months ago and felt like it healed but just recently it started bothering me again. I am just wondering if it could be because of the earlier injury or something different. This could be from your other injury or a heel Spur. You need to see a Podiatrist as soon as possible and get a full Examination. For the time being you could put an ice pack on the area pain for fifteen minutes several times a day. Advil soft gel capsules are very helpful for pain. Take them four times daily. It could be you have a spur there . . . have it checked by a doctor. It could be a bone spur or something else. You need to see your doctor. Without examining you and running x-rays there no way ANYONE on here can have a clue what your problem is. wow, you could have something inside it. One time my bro complained that his hurt too and was sqeezing it and a sowing needle came out. I about died! It was an inch and a half long it could still be strained from when u hurt your achilles Check out your shoes. You may have changed you walking gait as a result of your injury, and now your shoes are rubbing your heel. I can't say without a doubt, because I can't observe the area or do any test, but most likely you just worked your heel too hard and didn't allow ample time for recovery. In all likeliness, it's your old injury acting up again. Could be a spur, which is a build-up of calcium and - though it hurts - is harmless. See your doc and they should be able to give you some advice. This is probably a bone spur. Bone spurs can form after several months after an injury. Your previous injury may not be related. If you wear tight or uncomfortable shoes on a regular basis they can cause bone spur growth. |
