What did i do to my ankle?? |
Well, yesterday in gym we were playing tennis, and i went for a ball and my ankle went to the side and my leg was straight, and i slid a little over a foot on my ankle, it is swollen, and it hurts to walk expecially up and down stairs, my achilles tendon area hurts alot, i cant really bend it or anything, when i fell, my leg and foot was numb for about a minute. and iwas wondering what can be wrong with my ankle. Most likely just a sprain. They can hurt like heck!!!! I've had enough of them in my lifetime. Just basically do what your school nurse said to do. Wrap it in an ace, and try not to walk on it, and if you have to, immediately afterwards, put ice on it and elevate it. It will hopefully feel better then. If you cannot walk at all on it, then i'd suggest using crutches for about three days, if it's a sprain, but while using them, put gradual pressure on it. If it does not get better though, you could have broken a small bone, or had a very bad sprain, in which, you may have to get a cast, or use crutches for longer. Hopefully that is not the case though. Good luck and hope you feel better. GET TO YOUR DOCTOR AND HAVE IT LOOKED AT!!!!!!!!!! yeah your school nurse is right just give your ankle a rest for couple of days and put ice on it. xoxox, |
