What did i do to my foot? information below!?

ok it hurts when i step down on my heel so i have to walk on my tip toes but that also hurts a little too! i have it wraped in an ace bandage but it still hurts. i have a bruise that is light blue, dark blue, purple, and black and goes from my heel up to where my achilles tedon ends. I think its an injury of my achilles tendon but im not sure! Today it hurts worst than it ever has hurt before! I dont think i need to go to the doctor.I hurt it in dance so i dont know what i should do! Any information is great! IF you are a doctor then that we be better thank you!

I'm sorry I'm not a doctor but it sounds like you sprained it. If it doesn't feel better in a day or two I'd go have someone look at it to be sure.

You're right, it's probably the tendon. Treat it with ice and heat. After 24 hours ice alone won't help, so you have to heat pad it, then ice it....every 3 hours do one then the other. Stay
off the foot, and take the ace bandage off, it slows the circulation. Also, elevate the foot when you can. If it doesn't
start and continue to slowly get better see a Doc.
